As a result of this COVID-19 epidemic, grounded planes, closed hotels, and travel restrictions have occurred in nearly every country.

COVID-19’s effects on global, regional, and local tourism have been captured in a new dashboard built by the UNWTO and updated monthly with COVID-19 data.

Here, below, look at the most recent travel restrictions update for Europe & Asia:

Travel restrictions in Europe

Europe can be vacationed again. Entry requirements vary depending on nationality. In order to make it easier for fully vaccinated tourists to visit different countries participating in the Schengen Agreement, the European Union is developing a Green Pass.

See below for details on some countries where Americans may travel and what they’ll need to do to visit:

Italy

“COVID-tested flight” is the most direct route to Italy from the United States. The country exempts the immunized and those who have had a negative pre-travel test result from the required quarantine.

France

France welcomes American travelers who have been vaccinated and don’t require a quarantine. The unvaccinated will have to acquire a pre-travel vaccination before leaving in order to bypass the quarantine.

Greece

If you have confirmation of vaccination or a negative pre-arrival test, you can visit Greece.

United Kingdom

The United Kingdom is the latest country to reopen to U.S. citizens. All vaccinated Americans may now travel to England and Scotland without self-quarantine. An unvaccinated tourist will still have to self-quarantine for 10 days, no matter where they travel.

To lift the quarantine, all travelers will need to provide proof of having taken a negative test result prior to departure.

Restrictions for visiting other members of the United Kingdom may apply, including for those in Wales and Northern Ireland.

Travel restrictions in Asia

This is a sampling of some of the extraordinary places that you can go on your once-in-a-lifetime adventure. Even though, you will have to travel far from home:

Maldives

It is exciting to see the Maldives among the first exotic countries to re-open after the disaster. Pre-travel immunization is required for all visitors, regardless of whether they have had any vaccines or not.

Mauritius

Resorts in Mauritius will reopen for tourism on July 15, 2021, as long as they are certified. October 1, 2021 is the date when the island will reopen fully.

Only adults 18 and older who have fully recovered from their last inoculation may travel during the recuperation period. Beginning on October 1, 2021, it will be permitted to enter the organization if your PCR test is negative.

Seychelles

Tourism to the Seychelles is also welcome. There is a need for a negative pre-arrival test before the departure of eligible passengers, and the government encourages citizens to be completely vaccinated.
